A long climb out of Portomarín, from about 350 m to 725 m, then gentle farmland.
Practical tips
The first restaurant is in Gonzar, almost 8 km from Portomarín; after that most villages have a bar. Vilar de Donas monastery is a 2.3 km detour from Portos.
Along the way
Castromaior
Near the village are the remains of an Iron Age hill fort, one of the best 'castros' on the Camino.
