Out of the city along the Nervión estuary to the historic Vizcaya Bridge.
Practical tips
The official route crosses the run-down San Francisco area, where thefts are frequent; at some hours use Autonomía street. The flat riverside route (13 km) is an alternative, and the metro is another option.
Along the way
Vizcaya Bridge
The Puente Colgante (1893), the world's oldest transporter bridge, carries a hanging gondola across the estuary. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
