Practical tips
Avoid the N-634 shoulder between El Pontarrón and Iseca Vieja; take the official inland route via Rioseco and Hazas. Crossing the N-634 after Cerdigo has no crosswalk and fast traffic.
Along the way
Laredo
Its medieval Puebla Vieja and the 4 km La Salvé beach. Emperor Charles V landed here in 1556 on his last journey to the monastery of Yuste.
