The Hospitales route: the wildest and most beautiful stage, along mountain ridges past ruins of medieval pilgrim hospitals.
Practical tips
No services for 24 km: bring food and water (the taps on the way are unreliable). Exposed to wind, fog and snow. In bad weather take the Pola de Allande route (28.6 km).
